Shure Beta 58A Vocal Microphone

  • Microphones

$30 per night

The Beta 58A Vocal Microphone is another beauty from Shure, designed for live performances and studio sessions. It’s best for vocalists and really doesn’t differ too much from the SM58. It’s all Shure, and you can be SURE they will all go a great job. See what we did there? Dad jokes.

  • Great for clarity in loud environments
  • Tailored frequency response that enhances midrange and reduces bass (which is what you want for vocals)
  • Shock mount system for minimal handling noise

Product Description

Does your vocalist demand precision? Kick them out for being so difficult! Kidding, just get them this mic and they will be happy. It handles the high notes, smooth harmonies, and ensures every voice stands out with its brightened midrange and controlled bass response.

Perfect for live gigs, this microphone’s supercardioid pattern means it captures sound beautifully from the front while effectively cancelling out background noise. Say goodbye to annoying feedback issues! This is the mic you want in high sound pressure level environments. It comes with an XLR cable and the option to grab a microphone stand for just $5.

"Easily the smoothest speaker hire situation I have dealt with. Alec was very accommodating and the speakers were prefect for the event (and super affordable).

I'll definitely be coming back for our next event!"

Hire Questions

Navigate the jungle of questions: FAQs made simple and clear.

All FAQs
  • How does the Beta 58A differ from the SM58?

Eeesh, it’s minimal as both mics are designed for vocal use, but the Beta 58A offers increased sensitivity and a super-cardioid pattern for slightly better feedback rejection and a more detailed sound than the SM58.

  • Can I use the Beta 58A for instruments?

While it’s primarily designed for vocals, the Beta 58A can also be used to mic instruments in certain situations, but we also have mics better for that so just ask our team for some recommendations.
